Seismic Installation Ramping Up

Reports from field crews are that yesterday five new sites were completed and are operating with two others partially complete for a total of 7 finished and operating.  A few interesting tidbits from field teams include big delays due to two flat tires with needs for replacements and minor navigational issues.  One crew was happy to report that Mount St. Helens actually exists.  Most of the sites worked on so far are to the west and out of view of the mountain, but one team did catch a glimps. Ben and George together were digging the vault hole when a bottomless hole was uncovered (note shovel head is all that is visible.

 


Constructing the mount for a solar panel took George almost two hours.
